If anyone still reads this, it looks like I'll be on Palmecia. People have gotten horribly split up.

Last night was amusing. I logged on a bit late, but in time to join the last assault run, which was fun. I asked how people were doing and everyone said some variation of "I'm tired", or "Sleepy, it's been a long week". I was feeling fine. We finished the run, and split up. (I had a brief d/c.) I got back on, finished my muleing, checked my guild item, and considered what to do.

I decided that I wasn't up anything complex. In fact, logging and calling it an early night sounded good.



Oh, and judging from the video on the POL site, the Nomad Hat (Fan Fest item) has Warpga.

I was hoping to get in some extra relaxing this weekend, but didn't happen.

Friday, I got the neatest wedding invite I've ever seen in the mail. ^^ I'm holding off on the rsvp until I know how the little one will travel at that time.

RL: Saturday, we went and did the walk thing. We went down to the pond. Took the stoller and everything. Grabbed some food on n the way back. Babygirl was very good the entire time. (slept mostly) Which of course meant she stayed up all night. Sunday was a bit rough. I tried to take her for a while but she kept waking up hungery. 'dria didn't get a lot of rest until later afternoon. Sunday night was bit better.

I should have new pictures as soon as I extract them from the camera. Grandma is sending me some too.


FFXI: Never made it on saturday, did get on late sunday. Leathercraft 30 (and exam). Would have been 30.5 had I remembered to finish up my supplies *after* the exam. Even made some money selling the results. Lucked out and had the parts for the guild item, and got 6k points. I'm at 37k/180k (apron and two key items) Next time I'm on during a new moon, I'll try for the HQ nomad gear I've been commisioned on.

RL: Long day at work. Having some problems getting my project out the door. Then had to go home and fix the air conditioner. Turns out that we had a power flicker, and it caused the thermostat to go berserk. Had to spend some time looking for the right set of breakers to reset it.

Daughter is doing very well. Even sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time now. We still have to get her to like sleeping in the crib though. And sleeping at night would be good too. Working on it. Grandma has been a great help this past week. Also working on getting everyone enough sleep. We're not doing too badly, but there's definitely room for improvement. ^^


FFXI: Everyone took an evening nap, so I got online for 90 minutes or so. Chatted with folks a bit, and managed to get to leathercraft 20 (thanks to a certain Taru who joined me for farming.) I went and turned in my test item, got more supplies and went to the Safehold. I get to beat up on buggards and giants next.

FFXI: Sorry, been busy.

Actually, no doom.

Elizara is looking for help with it. She's got all the floors checkpointed, so she can skip to the top, a full set of anima, and is willing to help folks farm.

I'd kinda like to get the dia wand for 'dria (I have the pop item), if 'dria isn't busy. And we could also do the ENM if people are interested.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, post here, and we'll see what schedules look like.

RL: Wasn't feeling well (sinus headache) on saturday but managed to get the guest house toilet fixed (cleaned and de-mothballed) and the dishwasher (intake filter clogged again) before 11. Neither one took long, but both went quicker than expected, especially since I was moving a bit slow. Did some cleaning.

'dria wanted to go book shopping so we went out for a bit, and got cold drinks at Sonic on the way home.

Enjoyed my first Father's Day. (no, the kid isn't here yet, but everyone tells me it's close enough to count. Official date is the 2nd.) Had to come in to the office for a bit sunday morning. That took longer than planned, but wasn't bad. Met 'dria at our favorite steak place and had a large, very tender, steak. ^^ (and salad, and potato, and cheese fries - lunch was late and I hadn't had much breakfast.)

'dria says the baby is getting closer, but still a bit.


FFXI: Got a lot done this weekend. In no particular order: Got Cydori a (winning) DRG testament, 'dria beat Maat herself (1/1), I beat Maat in a revenge fight (1/15 towards cap now. ^^), went subligar farming (got several, but not the ones we wanted), farmed a prelate key, went on the easiest Carbie Mitt fight I've ever seen. (He got off two Astral Flows, but they only did about 160 each.) Also managed to solo my blm to 69 and get 93/99 on a second stack of kindred seals (would like 6 more by friday). And spent money on several things (scrolls). I could use some farming.

Congrats to Cydori and the rest of the static - I think you've all beat Maat now?

For assorted reasons, I haven't been able to devote more than very short bits of time (~1hr) to play for the last week or so.

I did manage to make a friend about half of the signed gear (nomad & vagabond sets) he wanted. I need to wait for a good moon for the rest.

Got on for about an hour last night, after muleing and such, had about half an hour, so I changed to blm and was going to solo a bit. (I'm very close to leveling)

Of course by the time I change, warped, got sanction, and got out there I had about 15 minutes left. Still, killing a few mobs would be fun, and I could log out there. I did elect to not use my exp ring.

My favorite spot was open (I checked), so I got started. On about the second or third mob, I notice a little Taru (also blm) was soloing one of the mobs. I hadn't seen him run past, so he must have logged in there. I was going to leave soon anyway, and he was welcome to the camp after that, so I waved at him.

He sent me a /tell, apologizing and offering to move. I told him I was leaving soon and not to bother (but I was going to take a few more, before I left.) He was very nice, and well spoken (He even corrected his typos during combat.) We had a nice discussion about alternate blm solo camps (they changed the mob locations on my second favorite spot, the link a lot more now, but there's 4 mobs instead of 3). So I ran off to kill my last mob.

And d/c'd. Right after I claimed it. My client had a real fit over it. By the time I got back in, I was dead, and the Taru was in sight actually, killing one of the re-pops.

The d/c had eaten my reraise, so he offered me an R1, (even 50% is very nice). I decided he seemed to be a very nice person and sent him a /befriend.


So, for the evening, I was at +8k gil (from selling an extra nomad hose), +.1 enfeebling, -800exp, and +1 new friend.

I think I came out way ahead.

It's been a while. Been either busy or tired.

I finally got the water working in the guest house. It wasn't hard, but it took forever because the pipe glue takes 2 hours to dry. Also, they don't actually sell one of the parts I needed. I had to buy a kit (I saved the rest). But I found and fixed all the broken pipes, filled the water heater and bleed the air out of the system. I still need to get the toilet working (not filling right, just needs cleaning) and turn on the water heater, once I'm sure I've got all the air out of it.

Also did lots of shopping and running around this weekend. Priced replacement windows (window shopping ^^) Not too expensive, but enough that it might not happen that soon.

'dria's doing well, except for when the baby kicks to much. (Do you know how easy it is to get a crit hit when you start INSIDE someone's torso?) I've been encouraging naps and taking it easy. Should be soonish now.


Game wise, I wasn't feeling well friday, didn't do much more than mule and turn in some guild items. I played a bit of Rogue Galaxy instead. Saturday we did light farming and I would have done Limbus, but volunteered to sit out. (we had 19 show up)

Sunday, I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I took my Black Mage out for some soloing. On about the third mob, I decided to put my flag up. (that's what you do, when you're soloing, right?) 20 seconds later, I got a party invite. First blm party in several levels. It went very well, and even broke about the time 'dria got up. I'm about 6k to level now. Not to far and I might be able to sneak into a merit party or two. After chores, 'dria and I duo'd Summoner (level 15ish) as an experiment. We fought worms. A bit slow, but I leveled twice, and 'dria once (I started close) and got a lot of summoning skill.
